A recent acquisition. This is an IBM Executive electric #typewriter. The Executive has an unusual feature for a typewriter: proportionally-spaced fonts. Two spacebars allow for slightly wider or narrower spaces. With careful planning, one could produce justified text with this machine (makes my head hurt thinking about it)
I bought this from a guy who'd had it sitting in his garage for years. It reeked of motor oil. I'll have it professionally serviced this weekend.
