It is stunning how a group of IT professionals (within one company, because that is their community) makes a method to solve one of their problems.
Then the PR dept grabs it and promises all their customers that this is the new design principle for everything. And anyone who doesn’t use it is hopelessly behind.
Somehow this selling point sticks at golf courses and trickles down to entire organisations, without regard for context.
