Running my WDAC280 (the oldest IDE hard drive I have; this model put WD on the map) through CALIBRAT because NDD grew the defect list again
It's probably for naught. This drive is from 1991 and the growing defect list may just be its signal that it's on its way out.
I'll be sad if that's the case, but I can't fault it. It's lasted about 25 years more than WD designed it to last. And it'll still mostly work unless teh read/write amp in the can breaks like it did on a WDAC1210 I have.
