Hm, the issue with inheritance is actually not an issue because overriding static members is not possible. To call a static method or access static fields, the exact class has to be spelled out for the instruction.
It's still possible to do shenanigans with class objects using reflection, such as extracting the class object of any instance and modifying static fields on it. Though the type system or the language at large is not really concerned with this
