@maelle starts at #useR2024 with an analogy with boats, they can become rusty and then it is hard or impossible to work with them.
Setting our minds in the right mindset is our first step, then we can move to dealing with the code (add tests, refactor, ask experts, ...). Starting with the nearest owwies: style, names, tests with same name, convoluted logic, ... Discussing ideas on what to fix it is not procrastinating!
