The first LEGO set I ever bought with mini-figures was set 601. It was 1978, and the set cost me 72p, so I still had 28p left for buying chocolate.
It was a bargain because as well as a man and petrol pump it included a fantastic Shell petrol station sign. I had never seen a Shell sign like this in real life, but a BP filling station in Chard had a BP one at the time.
Today, I decided to try out the program LeoCAD for the first time and lo and behold look at what I found all ready for me...
The cantilevered Shell petrol station sign from LEGO set 601 released in 1978 shown in the program LeoCAD.
