I've been using Windows since it could barely run off an ST-225 on a 286.
And while it's really easy and cheap-shotty for me to state that "Windows is shit", I don't think that's the main issue. Some of Windows certainly deserves the "it's garbage on fire" as an assessment, but the main things dogging MS are related to trust.
It started near to when Windows 3.1 came out. That AARD code was the first in a long line of trust violations committed by MS.
