It's been a while. My vacation is over and I moved to NYC, gonna take a while to settle in and deal with cultural shock. So I'm super duper behind in updating my museum database. I'm trying to catch up, and found this interesting paper on spatially informed data normalization, using 2D spline to model positive spatial autocorrelation in gene expression, in a negative binomial GLM model: https://github.com/bhuvad/SpaNorm The package is on Bioconductor.
