AWS is pretty good at security too, now that I think about it. They like to say that they're responsible for the security "of" the cloud, and the customers are responsible for the security "in" the cloud.
Almost any time you hear about breaches in AWS, it's the customer misconfiguring something.
The defaults in the AWS console when creating resources are pretty dangerous. An underappreciated advantage of CDK is that it actually has sane and safe defaults for those same resources.
