A big zucchini calls for a big mandolin!
Half of the monster zucchini halfway through a slice on my large mandolin. It is placed on the bottom half of the storage case which acts as the catch container and is on a black silicon mat. The finger guard is not shown in this image but is an essential part of use. There is a Nakiri (Japanese vegetable slicing knife) just to the left of the mandolin which was used to trim the ends and halve the zucchini.
Sliced zucchini in the catch container. Very evenly sliced and it took less time than taking out and setting up the mandolin did. The slices will be salted and then spread on a tea towel to remove some moisture before seasoning and air frying.
