Our brains are prone to cognitive bias. There are many ways of cognitive biases:
Status quo bias: preferring things to stay the same.
Overconfidence bias: misalignment of perceived ability and actual ability
Ingroup bias: why use code written elsewhere if I can write my own code?
We need to recognize our biases and overcome them.
You can't get rid of your own biases, but you can learn and respond.
