The new snapdragon x elite laptops are intriguing, but I don't think Linux support is quite ready yet.
A MacBook running Asahi would be fantastic, but again some things simply don't work yet, such as alt-DP mode for video over USB-C. And price for a sufficient spec is around $2000, a bit absurd.
But the new DC-ROMA II RISC-V laptop is only $600. Sure, it's somewhere between the performance of a rpi3 and rpi4, and only has 16GiB RAM, but it seems to bave good battery life.
Am I a fool?
