Just thinking of Jimmy Carter for a minute.
In 2007, I edited a book of photographs by Gil Garcetti on water in Africa ("Water is Key: A Better Future for Africa"). President Carter kindly wrote an essay for that book (as did Kofi Annan, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf; and Mary Robinson). His commitment for safe water will always be part of his legacy.
