This little fawn wasn't able to follow its mama through a deep ditch. So it walked up to me in the hope I could help!
Its mama was hiding nearby in the woods, so I just made sure it wobbled off the road and left.
View down at my feet and a small, almost newborn White-tailed deer fawn standing in front of me, looking off to the side. Viewed from above, its head looks huge and its back very thin and long. The nut-brown short coat shows the typical rows of white spots along the spine and more scattered dots on its sides.
A very young fawn on long, wobbly legs is slowly walking across a road towards the dense vegetation at the shoulder.
A White-tailed deer is waiting at the roadside for her little fawn to catch up with her.
