I am also worried that instead of helping lots of children to approach computing, the present practice of putting very limited microprocessors, with primitive languages, into schools will not only teach the gifted few bad programming habits, but will permanently turn the ordinary majority against computing. They will find it boring, frustrating and difficult, and, having been permanently turned off computing, may therefore not take up the opportunities to learn to use much better systems which will be available in a few years.
Perhaps it would be better to keep micros out of schools until far more approachable systems can be provided! (a s)
