Just tried A Quiet Place - Day One, but I have a problem, that problem is knowing how sound works pretty good on account of decades of audio engineering and also I was born deaf and also I am hypersensitive to sound and also I'm a musician.
From that perspective the movie makes as much sense as Sharknado but it doesn't have any self aware jokes, or any jokes. This thing wants me to take it seriously but I'm watching The Naked Gun 4 and it's been like ten minutes without no jokes and I have to ask myself - comedy without jokes is just bad right? I can't be terrified by a creature whose main billing point is sensitivity to sound but has worse hearing than me. Like way worse, no seriously, orders of magnitude worse, this is not a competition I could lose, I'm Mike Tyson in his prime and they are Donald Trump now, the outcome'd be so painfully obvious the only bets to place are how many milliseconds they'd last. Five probably.
I know too much man, you people wouldn't believe the things I've heard, attack ships on fire over the shoulder of Orion...
anyway, that was another exciting movie review. Can't believe people don't pay me for these. Aren't you informed?!
