So now the Region of Waterloo has plowed under 160 acres of corn in Wilmot Township owned by one of the farmers unwilling to sell. In this secret expropriation deal, it appears the RoW has become the vassal of Lord Ford, the hand that does his bidding and forsakes our commitment to preserve our farmland. I do not consent to the forced expropriation of our class 1 farmland for some unnamed (though probably auto parts production) industrial purpose. We need fewer cars, not more on the finite planet on which we live. It is especially egregious when so many people in our region are homeless and hungry.
