I am just wondering this morning, with a clear majority of Americans polled wanting a ceasefire in West Asia, why you don't see that translated into any actual ceasing of the genocide. This is a democracy, isn't it? Politicians need your vote, don't they?
This is not a poll. I kind of know what my limited number of comrades think, just putting it out there for comment. Any other possibilities? Believe me, I've struggled with some of these excuses.
a) People are afraid of losing their jobs.
b) People are afraid of losing friends, angering family or being a pariah in the neighborhood.
c) Israelis are cool and like us. Arabs are scary and born terrorists.
d) I don't know, I am too busy to go to a protest, write a letter or call my representative. I know it won't do any good.
e) I am afraid of the police and the deep state.
f) If I speak up against Biden's/Harris's intransigent support for Israel, Trump will win the election.
g) I really don't care.
h) No one wants genocide, but it is complicated.
i) All this about genocide is a Russian plot.
j) Iran is behind all this. They want to dominate the Arab world.
k) It is all Hama's fault. If they just surrender, all this killing will stop.
