In a very real sense, Project 2025 really isn't all that "new". That detailed plan to end democracy" has been the playbook for at least 25 years (back to the beginnings of the Bush W. Admin, if not 45 years back to Reagan). What tells me this is the shenanigans of voter suppression that were used in the 2000 Election, most notably in Florida, and the Supreme Court ready to "put the final stamp of approval" on the effort.
Sure, there's been constant updating (ie expansion) of that suppression effort, and other efforts to institutionalize economic hegemony of the richest of the rich, and continued/expanded efforts to forestall any Ecological discipline or effort to respond to the clear scientific realities of how we've created havoc for our habitat. They simply have had license and support to keep expanding it as permission to do so in the open has thrown gas on the fire they've started.
