This song and music video were conceived on July 31, 2024 after Trump appeared at the National Association of Black Journalists convention. After Trump questioned Vice President Harris’ ethnicity, the lyrics of this song just poured out.
Anyway, I’m not a very good musician and I’m a terrible singer, but I wrote the song in about 10 minutes that afternoon and began recording it. Most of it is “first take” stuff, so please excuse my amateur musicianship. But I hope you enjoy the song and the video, which I think turned out OK. It certainly conveys what I imagined.

ABOUT THE SONG: It just suddenly appeared in my head on July 31st and as I heard the song in my brain, I saw the video playing along with it. I recorded it with Pro Tools. I played and sang everything, and nobody helped me, which is why the quality isn’t all that great. I used a 1979 Stratocaster and 2016 Telecaster through a 1967 Twin Reverb. And I used some plug-ins, and a cheap old Hohner Acoustic, and some other stuff. It’s obvious there’s no autotuner or any “fix it” tricks. And it’s noisy because I’m a crappy producer and engineer.
